Govt Launches Rs30,000 Per Month Digital Internships — Are You Eligible?

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board has announced the launch of the Digital Internship Program 2025–26, an initiative aimed at empowering women across the province by providing them with practical digital skills and real-world professional exposure. The program is designed to help women build sustainable careers in the rapidly growing technology sector.

Female candidates interested in participating can submit their applications online through the official portal at joinit.kp.gov.pk/list/jobs. Applications must be completed by March 13, 2026, as late submissions will not be entertained.

The internship initiative offers a valuable pathway for women seeking entry into the tech industry. By combining financial assistance, hands-on training, and workplace placements, the program aims to prepare participants for active roles in Pakistan’s expanding digital economy.

Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs30,000 for a period of six months. This financial support is intended to remove economic barriers and allow participants to focus fully on skill development and professional learning. KPITB officials stated that paid internships ensure equal access to opportunities for talented women from diverse backgrounds.

Participants will receive training in high-demand technology fields, including artificial intelligence, UI/UX design, web and application development, graphic design, and digital marketing. These areas are aligned with current market trends and offer strong employment prospects, helping interns develop skills that are relevant to modern industry requirements.

In addition to technical training, the program places strong emphasis on practical experience. Interns will be assigned to IT Park companies across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as the Digital Transformation Unit and other relevant offices. Through these placements, participants will work on live projects and gain firsthand exposure to professional work environments.

Officials noted that real-world experience is a crucial component of career development, as it enhances technical confidence, strengthens resumes, and improves employability. The initiative is also part of a broader effort to increase women’s participation in the technology sector, where female representation remains limited despite rapid industry growth.

By offering structured training, professional exposure, and financial support, KPITB aims to create stronger career pathways for women and contribute to long-term economic inclusion in the province’s digital landscape.
