Govt Launches Free Online Courses — Are You Eligible?
The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has collaborated with the Cisco Networking Academy to introduce a range of free online technology courses designed to strengthen digital competencies nationwide.
Under this initiative, six online courses are being offered across four major technology areas, including cybersecurity, information technology, artificial intelligence, and networking. The courses are fully self-paced, enabling learners to study at their convenience without restrictions on time or location.
According to officials, enrolled participants will have access to online academic support from trained instructors throughout the learning period. Upon successfully completing a course, learners will receive a verifiable digital certificate featuring a QR code, along with a digital badge issued via Credly.
The program follows a step-by-step learning model, allowing students to start with foundational courses and gradually progress to more advanced technical subjects based on their skill level.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to have basic knowledge of IT or networking and to be enrolled in Grade 9 or higher.
